The external linear position sensor ZHW for the pneumo-hydraulic drive cylinder TOX®-Powerpackage, used already a thousand times in industrial fields increases the functionality and operational reliability of these cylinders. Independent of the working situation, it provides accurate absolute instantaneous rod position feedback in the TOX®-Powerpackage, even after a power failure.
With the program enlargement ZHW - an external linear position sensor for the pneumo-hydraulic drive cylinder TOX®-Powerpackage, used already a thousand times in industrial fields - the technology enterprise TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK GmbH & Co. KG, D-88250 Weingarten, once again increased the functionality and operational reliability of these cylinders. Independent of the working situation, the new linear position sensor ZHW provides accurate absolute instantaneous rod position feedback in the TOX®-Powerpackage, even after a power failure. But it is also possible to combine the installation with an external sensor for the end position feedback of the stroke in the BDC and TDC which is available as accessory. It is thus possible to continuously monitor and supervise all movement profiles.
Due to the external mounting on the tie rods of the TOX®-Powerpackage, the mounting position can be freely and individually selected and adapted to the local conditions without further mechanic work. All Powerpackages line-Q and RZS feature a special barrel and a magnet on the working rod to sense the instantaneous position of the rod. The measuring system provides non-contact technology and is therefore fully resistant to contamination and, above all, wear free.
The data of the external linear position sensor ZHW with regard to the distance transducer are as follows: repeat accuracy +/- 10 µm, operating voltage 24 V DC +/-20%, linear deviation +/- 0,15 mm, protection class IP 67, outputs = output voltage 0 to 10 V. When delivered, the output voltage 0 to 10 V is generally adjusted to the total stroke of the respective TOX®-Powerpackage. As option, TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK offers an USB communication box consisting of two outputs via USB interface (output 1 for total stroke, output 2 freely configurable (e.g. for the last 5 mm of the stroke).
