The TOX®-Powerpackage is a “hot product” within the drive technology range from TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK GmbH & Co. KG, which proves itself daily in industrial applications. It is consistently designed for rational mechanical individual or serial processing of sheet metal parts and/or for the assembly of components into assemblies, with more than 150,000 TOX®-Powerpackage drive cylinders worldwide for reproducibly precise press forces for joining/clinching, assembly/pressing in, stamping in of functional elements, riveting, punching/piercing, stamping/marking, tightening/clamping, caulking as well as compressing and pressing.

The standard versions line-Q and line-X as well as X-KT system (with separate pressure intensifier) as well as the special types S and K (short design) impress with advantages like robustness and elasticity in the force effect, freedom from maintenance, speed, simple design and control as well as operational safety. The press force drive cylinders are characterised by minimum oil filling, freedom from leaks as well as low air consumption and can thus be operated environmentally friendly and economically. With a similar design as a pneumatic cylinder, they can be easily integrated into presses and systems and are easily controlled. Depending on the version, highest stroke frequencies can also be achieved, and despite this, a guarantee for 10 million strokes is given over a runtime of 12 months!

In order to meet the growing demands of the industry with regard to application flexibility and versatility, the TOX®-Powerpackage drive cylinders are continually developed and optimised further. To be mentioned here is the new total stroke setting by means of crank handle on the one hand. The total stroke setting consists of a small pressure intensifier, which creates a hydraulic clamping pressure on the adjustable adapter, a crank handle with counter and digital display as well as a geared belt drive, which is responsible for transferring the crank motion to the linear lifting motion. This way, the total stroke can be finely adjusted to the respective requirements, like tools of different height or sheet metals/assembly parts to be machined, which reduces unproductive idle times to a minimum.

On the other hand, there is the newly integrated cutting impact damping ZSD, which makes sure a damping disc is inserted into the damping slit 10 mm before the end of the total stroke. This ensures hydraulic damping in the top and bottom end position, which protects the tool in practice. The damping can be adjusted from outside and works completely wear-free. Furthermore, there is a new conversion kit for simple conversion of existing TOX®-Powerpackages of versions 1030 and 2030 to the current version 3030. The ZVX valve block is replaced here by a simple and robust combination of valve-pressure regulator-unit, which provides customers with a cost-efficient cylinder which is state-of-the-art.
